Pace ace Benjamin looking to the future
WING wonder Miles Benjamin admits he wasn't expecting as much game-time as he has had this season.
The Warriors 12-try leading scorer was hoping to make an impact this term, but couldn't have dreamt of such a good campaign.
The 19-year-old speedster now wants to capitalise on his impressive year and drive Worcester on to future success.
He said: "I want to try and maintain my position in the team and make as big an impact as I can.
"I am a little bit surprised that I have played so much this season.
"I expected to be very competitive with the other wingers, but I certainly didn't expect to have such a run in the side.
"I put my progress this year down to a combination of hard work on my behalf and the input from Mike Ruddock and Clive Griffiths.
"They have given young players an opportunity and us youngsters have worked hard to try and justify the faith they have shown in us.
"Also, guys like Marcel Garvey and Rico Gear have been massive influences on me this year."
